Spiritual Direction / Spiritual Companioning

Spirituality in the midst of daily life is important to many of us. The process of spiritual direction provides a way to integrate your inner life with outer decisions and actions. It is similar to a mobius strip that allows seamless movement from inner to outer and back again, time for contemplation and being, as well as time for action and doing.
Spiritual Direction / Spiritual Companioning, is a process in which we focus together on your spiritual journey, the ins and outs of its pathways through your life, what it means to you, where you are now, the callings you feel urging you forward, and how you live your spirituality in your life and work.
We listen together to guidance from your inner wisdom, to the insights and intuitions that emerge from within, to your dreams, and to your relationship with your Source. We always begin where you are and with what you want to focus on.
Some questions we explore are:
Where are you feeling called at this time of your life?
How do you nourish your inner life / spiritual life?
What are the challenging places of growth in your life right now?
Where do you find meaning and purpose?
How do you create congruence between your inner life and your everyday life?

I have been a spiritual director for more than twenty years. My training is from the Diocese of Galveston-Houston Spiritual Direction Institute and the Contemplative Group Leadership & Retreats Program at The Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation. My gifts lie in creating sacred and reflective space & experiences for people; working with those wounded by the church; working with people who are in a "spiritual transition" having left a tradition or belief-system and are exploring a new spiritual identity. I work with ministers and people from all walks of life.
